My name is Josh.
This blog is about a question I have asked myself time and time again :
All of the why questions of life and love and happiness.
And even though we sometimes settle for those quick one word answers, or the cliches that make us feel good for a moment, I’m convinced the answer is a lot longer. I’m convinced all of life is a lot longer than a simple answer.
Caravaners were groups of people who traveled across some desert to a new location. That journey, I think, is the answer to the question why. When I set out to answer why, it’s a journey. A process, and a simple answer doesn’t do that process justice.
To add to all of this, when we start the journey, from one place to another, from novice to master, there’s a temptation to pretend we have it all together. And that thought of being perfect before starting has kept me from a lot of things I’d love to do.
And that’s where all this comes from. This is a REFORMING how-to guide. Reforming in that it changes, just like we all do. We start our journeys as novices, in any field, and with time and energy and strength, we can become masters. Once masters, we don’t take the same steps or fall in the same place as a novice.
Caravaners were groups of people who traveled across some desert to a new location. Groups. That’s the other misconception I found myself crippled by. That I’d have to grow and change and become better solo. That’s the thing – we can’t all me masters of everything. This isn’t just about me, it’s about us.
About me personally. I’m 28. Married to the best gal. And work leather.
